193AB-Mouth Simulator with built-in power amplifier
- Introduction
The Mouth Simulator Type 193AB(Fig. 1) designed by SoundFree LIMITED is a sound source which simulates the sound field around the human mouth and complies with the Standards IEEE 269 and ITU-T Rec. P51. It uses to test the frequency response of telephone of transmitters and communications microphones, 193AB is a stable, low distortion sound source used for the testing of acoustic transducers, At the mouth reference point (MRP), which is 35 mm from the detachable 193AA’s mouth, there are two ways to calibrate: at either 0° or 90° to the mouth axis. In both cases, simple adjustment allows the microphone to be correctly positioned at the MRP. The minimum-continuous equalized signal it can produce is 100 dB re. 20 μPa in the frequency range 100 Hz to 10 kHz. Its loudspeaker accepts an external signal directly via an input.
